Appointment Types
The Practice offers a range of appointments dependent upon your needs.
Specific appointments for chronic disease management, sexual health, baby checks, health checks and family planning can also be pre-booked.
On The Day Appointments/Emergency Appointments/Triage System
The majority of clinician appointments are book on the day. Patients should use the online booking facility which can be found in the online consultations room on the home page. Booking is available from 8am each day until all appointments are booked.
Appointments with nursing staff and HCAs may be booked in advance.
Your request for appointment may be assessed by our triage clinicians. Your details will be taken by a member of the reception team who will ask for a brief description of your problem. A clinician will return your call at which time you will be assessed and, if necessary, given an appointment.
Be seen by the Doctor of your choice
You are registered with the Medici Medical Practice, therefore you can see any Doctor or Nurse.
You may request to see a Doctor/Nurse of your choice. However, if this person is unavailable, you will be offered an appointment with another Doctor/Nurse or you can choose to wait until the Doctor / Nurse of your choice is available.
Offering Routine Appointments in Extended Hours for Health Concerns
Extended Access Service is available for all Luton patients to book routine appointments with a GP, Practice Nurse or Healthcare Assistant through Medici Medical Practice. This service will operate Monday to Friday Evenings from 18.30-21.00 evenings and Saturday mornings from 08.30-14.30 at Gardenia Medical Centre.
Patients unable to get to clinics at the surgery for Chronic Disease Management such as Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Hypertension and Rheumatoid Arthritis may attend these clinics to have reviews. Patients can book to see the GP, Practice Nurse or HCA for all other routine matters.
Please ask for more information by contacting our reception team in person or on the phone to book appointments should you wish to be seen by a GP, Practice Nurse or Healthcare Assistant who will have full access to your GP records from the surgery.
