Your request for appointment will be triaged by our reception team, who will use your answers to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or healthcare professional available to help you. You will receive a message to confirm your appointment. A clinician will return your call at which time you will be assessed and if necessary offered a face-to-face appointment.

Practice Nurse and Healthcare assistant (HCA) appointments

Appointments with the practice nurses and healthcare assistants can be booked in advance. To request an appointment:

Be seen by the doctor of your choice

You are registered with the Medici Medical Practice, therefore you can see any doctor or nurse.

You may request to see a doctor or nurse of your choice. However, if this person is unavailable, you will be offered an appointment with another doctor or nurse or you can choose to wait until the doctor or nurse of your choice is available.

Offering routine appointments in extended hours for health concerns

Extended access service is available for all Luton patients to book routine appointments with a GP, practice nurse or healthcare assistant through Medici Medical Practice. This service will operate Monday to Friday evenings from 6:30pm to 9pm, evenings and Saturday mornings from 8:30am to 2:30pm at Gardenia Medical Centre.

Patients unable to get to clinics at the surgery for chronic disease management such as asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension and rheumatoid arthritis may attend these clinics to have reviews. Patients can book to see the GP, practice nurse or HCA for all other routine matters.
